New Perspective on the Quantum Mechanical Nature: Seeking Freedom

Consciousness escapes the confinement of its own doing in myriad ways. Such is the Cosmic Play! Consciousness seeks freedom and liberation from bondage.  Consciousness achieves liberation through life.

Escape mechanisms are different expressions of life. Quantum mechanical nature is one of the escape (freedom seeking) mechanisms. This makes quantum mechanical nature the first expression of life in the physical universe.

In the physics textbooks it is often mentioned that elementary particles exhibit particle/wave duality. Textbooks usually fail to mention the conditions under which the elementary particles become wave-like,

Accelerator physicists work with elementary particles every day. I was an accelerator physicist and I worked with proton and antiproton beams every day at the Tevatron collider. It was clear to us that these elementary particles were behaving like particles not waves.

In the Tevatron particles were moving on a circular orbit 6.2 miles long. In the Large Hadron Collider at CERN protons move on a circular orbit 27 km long. You may talk about the standing wave formation on a 27 km circle but the quantum mechanical wavelength is extremely small. So, when you confine a particle to a 27 km orbit it still behaves pretty much like a particle because it is not confined to a small area. You may consider the confinement of that particle in the transverse dimension of the beam which can be less than a millimeter but even a millimeter is not a small enough confinement for the quantum mechanical effects to emerge.

When you confine a particle to a much smaller volume of space then it starts exhibiting quantum behavior. For example, if you confine an electron to an atom the trajectory concept is no longer valid.  Position and momentum of that electron cannot be measured simultaneously. The energy of the electron becomes quantized.  Tunneling (escape) probability becomes nonzero. The elementary particle escapes the bondage by becoming quantum mechanical. The particle escapes the bondage by becoming a wave.

‘Seeking freedom’ principle has another angle, of course. When we focus a lot of energy to a small volume of space new particles emerge from that vortex. Here the energy tries to escape the bondage by becoming a particle.

Seeking freedom is one of the essential characteristics of Consciousness.

Without the confinement of electrons to the atom and without the confinement of the protons and neutrons to the nucleus the integrity of the atom could not be maintained. Without atoms there would be no organic life in the universe. Organic life starts from the confinement of particles and energies. Confinement of Consciousness is the key. The entire Cosmos emanates from the confinement of the Consciousness.

Consciousness cannot be confined for long. Any temporary confinement will result in the multiplication/replication of the confinement center (nucleus or identity) and Consciousness will eventually return to its original state by experiencing life.

Life will emanate from those replicated centers (souls). Transformation of Consciousness (objectivation, life, process, emanation) cannot start without a soul. Emanation is sustained by the soul.  Emanation lasts as long as the soul exists.
