Deep interest but no strong urge to visit

rumimuseumkonyaI visited Rumi’s shrine in Konya in 2010. It was my first visit and I was 50 years old. I grew up in Turkey and I have always been interested in Sufism but I was never able to bring myself to go to Konya when I was younger. I never had the strong urge to go there.

This situation is very similar to my relationship with India. I have always been interested in India’s culture and philosophy but I have never had a strong urge to visit India. I would like to remind you that Suresh of “Suresh Emre” is a Sanskrit name and my writings are testament to how I love and respect Baba (Shrii Shrii Anandamurti) as my guru. Sometimes love is not enough to overcome karmic situations. I have never been able to extract myself from various circumstances to go and see Baba in India before he died in 1990.

I have to tell you about Germany too. I have always admired the scientists and philosophers of Germany but I have never had a chance to visit Germany. I made attempts to go there but something always stopped me. I find this very interesting.

Samskaras are very complex! There are no easy answers.
