Erik Verlinde’s latest paper on his effort to develop a new (emergent) theory of gravitation received a lot of attention in the media. This theory (still in its early stages) certainly deserves a careful look.


Steven Weinberg thinks that Quantum Mechanics is not satisfactory. Here’s the video of his recent lecture on this topic.


CERN LHC is currently colliding proton beams with beams made up of nuclei of lead atoms to study quark-gluon plasma.
