Chris Quigg’s Summary of the Evolution of Particle Physics

I follow Chris Quigg’s Twitter feed. I have learned a lot from his wonderful observations. Chris Quigg is the grand wise physicist of Fermilab. Over the years he has made many contributions to physics and even greater contributions to the cultural identity of Fermilab. He was awarded the 2011 J.J. Sakurai Prize of the American Physical Society for outstanding achievement in particle theory. The second edition of his classic textbook on gauge theories was published by the Princeton University Press in 2013.

He gives many presentations at various institutions. The one he presented at NIKHEF on April 20, 2018 is very informative with lots of graphs and diagrams. The PDF of the presentation can be obtained from this link.

I also highly recommend Chris Quigg’s web site.
